Let's help Jasmine get a scholarship

The daughter of a friend from my Omaha days is competing on-line for a $20,000 scholarship and I thought we could help. The Dehghan family was my second family for a while and I would love to be able to help get Jasmine started on her college career. She is an intelligent, funny, and talented young woman who deserves this, so let's all take the 5 minutes to help her out and make a difference in her life!

This is all you have to do:

1) Click on the following link: http://www.zinch.com/voting/FinalBracket.aspx

2) Click on the 'West' tab and look for Jasmine Dehghan-Dusch's name

3) Click on her name and it will take you to her current matchup

4) If you're new to zinch, it will ask you a few basic registration questions (name, email etc, very simple), and then you will need to confirm your registration through an email you will receive from zinch. You only have to do this one time -- once registered, you can login in the future and vote for Jasmine in subsequent rounds

5) If you've already registered, or once you do register, log in and click the 'vote' button under her name/profile.

6) Invite all your facebook friends to join this group and ask them to vote as well.

I know you don't know Jasmine, so here is a web-site that tells you a little bit about her: http://www.vote4jazz.com/

Thanks to a lot of people

I really have to thank my family and friends for all the incredible support and care. My mom and sister have been in Virginia pretty much non stop for 3 months. My sister just returned to Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago. If I am thanking my mom for coming here and taking such good care of me, I have to thank the people at her work who have been donating their leave days so that she has still been getting paid. That is incredible. Thanks so much.

Non health related posts

Up to this point this blog has really been just a way of posting mass health updates. I have never really had the urge to blog in the traditional sense. I guess it really comes down to the fact that I have never felt anyone would care about my opinion... everyone has one, why is mine special? Well, it occurs to me that all this wonderful, recent life experience has given me a more unique view of the world and maybe people would care to read about it. I will post these under the "Other" section. If you want to skip them, just click on "Health Updates" under the Sections menu on the right.
